Hi, I'm Carol, an art director who loves a great concept, edgy designs, brilliant colors and speak-to-me typography. I'm flattered when clients ask me to design an invitation for their special event and strive to create something that's simple, yet beautiful, and tells their special story. When I hear someone say they've kept the piece as a memento, then I know I've done my job well. I'm proud to be a part of the Minted community.

I know what you mean - I loved etching and silkscreen in college and there is just no way i can make that happen these days. wish i had a press in my garage ;)

im not sure i understand what you mean about wrapping the string down and around the balloon? the balloon is up, LOL.. i agree about the bottom copy, need to work on it.

Hi Carol! I think you could go either way with Holly Jolly. You could leave both banners and just put "Merry Christmas" or some other message in the top banner and leave the lower banner as is. Alternately, you could totally remove the banners, and just put "XO, The Richardsons" in the bottom right corner. Either way, it's a great design!

Carol- thanks for your suggestions! I made the tweaks for both designs (Harrison Twins and Baby Makes Three). Definitely makes a difference I think if you would like to take a look again. Unfortunately, the Baby Makes Three design was added at the last minute so I didn't have too much time to look back at it again and tweak during submission.

Hey Carol, I would love to see Phillie through your eyes! We definitely need to meet for lunch or saturday sometime soon : ) I feel like I don't tell you enough, but I love the great feedback and comments you leave on my designs and so many others. You don't just leave the generic "love it" crap (which I'm guilty of!) but you write the most thoughtful, attentive comments which show you are critically looking at the designs - the hallmark of a great Art director!
