In college I ended up with a BA in Fine Art after learning that chemistry was not for me. Three years after that, while planning my wedding, I made the leap to stationery design and 2birdstone was born. I have come a long way since entering my first Minted challenge and am totally hooked!

Ashley I have a question.. not minted related.. i have submitted a couple designs to Indigo Prints and i see that u have a bunch there for sale.. my question is do they have a lot of sales? They accepted two of my designs just wondering what kinds of sales they get

Thanks for looking at my site-in-progress Ashley. I fixed the sidebar. The funny elephant and poop logo is for a product they sell at the Atlanta Zoo...it's elephant poop fertilizer. Pretty funny!

oh. my. goodness. c&co. counts you as a trusted advisor and invaluable supporter of us trying out ideas and getting better... to hear such words as fave on pop bottles means SOOO much, you have no idea! i (hallie :) thought of it last night after getting home from an inspiring wknd workshop that reminded me to trust ideas and just go for it. so it's hugely reinforcing that this is key for things (big and small) to get such amazing feedback from you and cecile, right off the bat. thx a milllllll!!! xo!

hi ashley! thx SO much for your encouragement on 1 stronger! 2 of the 4 of us heart sports (sport as you say ;) & i am officially kind of a nut for it. so this concept has been on my list for some time & was so happy to have the challenge to express it! ;) i love how (here in the states at least) it can be a way to express the bond of an extended family, pro team, university alum status, etc. Q for you: is ______ Nation meaningful in any of those regards in GB/europe? if so i would love the excuse to make the GB version that *almost* goit made for our Greetings From series in holiday before we ran out of time ;) any thoughts apppreciated as always, xo!

hi ashley! thx so much for the tips on kilo/stones! :) if there's time i'm def excited to try the UK. with it being a poss photo crop challenge it might also help to show the versatility of it being doable if there are any doubts about how it could work. LOVING your submissions and so looking fwd to seeing more in this homestretch! it's becoming a marathon but it's great to take breaks to look at what's going up and give encouragement to everyone... going to do some more of that tonight. thx agn, xo!

Thanks so much for the vote of confidence Ashley! I never really know what people will like in the end and I've tried some usual layouts. I hope they work! I'm about to leave for vacation and am sure that when I come back there will be some crazy spectacular entries submitted at the last minute. hx a mill ashley for your comment on greetings from AU! didn't get to the height of these twins.. was getting crowded, but it could fit if necc :) used online converter for pounds to kilos -- but was wondering if there is supposed to be stones after kilos, how we say pounds/ounces... instead of the decimal on the kilos. also just noticed the date isn't flipped to say the day before the month! at least we managed the "happy" christmas ok, ha ha! keep an eye out for the UK version coming tomorrow (night)... almost made it, but stopped short wondering how many would get the versatility of the series across w/o an obnoxious number of submissions :) but campbell and co. hearts 2birdstone, so this simply must join the mini assortment! off to bed. thx agn, xo!

thx ashley! this photo is uniquely suited to the layout due to the solid b/g... was starting to wonder how applicable it is. tried suggestion in description how customer can recreate their own... and could also offer half/photo version if it got chosen. do you think it's advisable to submit in this more stylized way?

hi ashley! thx for your comment on all the stops!! i did try that 1st, & it's def more ideal, but since more ppl have horiz crops, i wanted to submit this way to show it works... if it gets in will provide both orientations (will help to give that choice since there's not much in the way of color options ;)

Hi Ashley, thanks so much for your nice message! Yes. I designed each of them on the computer, printed on transfer paper, ironed onto linen and embroidered. I tried photographing but scanning picks up more of the detail. I really love to embroider, I find it so relaxing. Btw my daughter' name is Ashley.

thx 2birdstone SO much for the comments on the Season to Sparkle! the blue letters are a little darker than the b/g... was something tried at the end, not sure if it's odd. to shift that... sounds like it popped out to your keen eye! :) will def look at an alt on the script too... the jpg isn't doing much justice to the resolution of the glitter w/in the file size limit so i'm glad that part didn't bother you too much to mention. as always, SO appreciate your thoughts and suggestions, xo!

hi 2birdstone! this is SO helpful!! really appreciate your time & thoughful feedback! i had done a few colorways, with more colorful letters & one with a wht/cream b/g too... liked them a lot, but got unsure if it was "halloweeny" enough w/o the obvious hwn palette. w/o any kids in costume photos to use it makes the card have to say halloween more on its own, so that's how i ended up there. so it's so great to hear your thoughts that my initial instincts to keep it lighter overall. & so insightful about the hierarchy, to downplay "our little" -- can't thank you enough!!

Hi Ashley, thanks for the kind words. Your wedding submissions are great and I can see you as the designer to watch for. When you brought up the whold branding in the forum - I'm in the same boat, struggling the style, logo etc. Ugh! Looking forward to see what you come with your branding. BTW - regarding your forum post, I really like your biz name. I always get my idioms mixed up, for example I'd say "one bird & two stones" lol So I thought your name was clever & it says you alone can tackle several things! Hope you consider keeping it.
