Does anyone know if this type of artwork is OK to use? I created everything on my own but wasn't sure about copyright on Wrigley Field or Chicago Cubs names. Anyone know if this is a problem? I am planning to try another for the Boston RedSox if I have time but want to make sure it isn't a problem to use the team or field names.

Hi Ellie, I am not a legal expert, but I have heard that professional team names, logos, etc are not considered public domain and that franchises are serious about protecting their copyrights. Sorry for the bad news!

I am concerned about that Karen Glenn. I have seen others selling items like clothing, bags, home items, etc. on other sites like etsy using team names. I'll do some more digging on copyright. Thanks.

I really like the design Ellie- simple, clean and a clever use of personalization. However I'm also pretty certain that it would be considered a copyright infringement since you/Minted would be profiting from use of the Cubs' identity.

I'm wondering how it is that other artists can sell prints of sports signs etc that are painted or drawn or even just photographed. Here's a link to just one example that I found. http://fineartamerica.com/art/all/wrigley+field/all Anyone working at Minted have any insight??
