removed the date triangle that was generating a lot of discomfort and made a few other updates. i'm also including another example in an alternate colorway with a different pic - I'm finding that any photo with people's heads together works great in the triangle.

To be honest, I don't think triangles in general work, it's really hard to find photos that will fit nicely in that shape. I think you should just make the photo a rectangle that goes across the card, using the same photo treatment, and leave all the other elements. Feel free to ignore though!

I like the triangles, and the photo treatment, but something feels incomplete or off-balance and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe move 'holidays' over to the right a bit? just my thoughts :)

i dig the triangles and the pink. the one in the upper left is throwing me. maybe make it a rectangular banner shape and move it to the right side for balance?

I wonder if it would help balance the layout if you moved the year triangle over to the right side, having it align with the angle in the "photo triangle". Does that make sense? Or just remove that top shape at top all together. I think it's fighting with the shapes.
