I prefer a subtle background - what about in the browns or ochre colorway?

Both are gorgeous Kelly. It's a tough call. I think I prefer the white background.

Tough call, they are both good. I like the one with the background slightly more, it feels more finished somehow.

I prefer without. I am better able to appreciate the movement and color changes. :)

They are both amazing but I think I like the subtle background the best.
