Comments and critiques appreciated. There is a 1/4 inch border around the edge of the card (which can't be seen since the drop shadow is not appearing). Any one word (or two!) to describe the person or occasion can be specified - for example "loved," "mother," "beautiful," "thanks," "sixteen," "best friend," or "seventy." Alternate colorways and words shown below.

I like this version best so far Kim! It feels cohesive to me. Even thought you could add the ghosted name [90% black] heavier face, behind the word graduate to personalize even more.

Thank you for all the feedback, ladies! And thanks for the suggestion to ditch the flags, Carol! I do think this is closer to my original minimalist vision. :) And thanks, Lori - hopefully, I'll get more feedback on those flags...

I actually like the flags because not every photo has a "clean" space to put type. Especially if you are working with older photos. Maybe they could have transparency so they aren't as dominant though. Love the design. Maybe reduce the white borders that separate the blocks just a tad.

i like it better, Kim, but I am not fond of the ital type to tell you the truth. I suggested removing the flags because it felt like too much horizontal competition, but if you like them, keep them - or try another shape like a small corner half circle ghosted back? I do agree that the young photo should be on the left and the grown up one on right. It took me a minute to put it together myself. Feel another winner coming on for you...

I love the concept, Kim! I am wondering if you can ditch the black year flags and just let the main black banner stand on its own? Maybe just knock out the years in white, small, in same futura caps but tucked into a corner? I'd really meticulously kern the letters on the hero type too. Nicely done!

I'm really liking this version Kim ! This really brings the intention of your card and the pictures complement perfectly. I'm so bumped about the drop shadow too. It's like when you edit your design, and you submit another version it disappears. Love this, great job !

Love the way the age is called out. It might be fun to incorporate a name in a smaller font saying "Monica at" SEVEN. Just a thought; really cute as is.
