Nice work, Rebecca.
Cute illustration, Rebecca! :)
This turned out so great, Rebecca!
Does this seem a little better.. here is what it looks like with the text under it, but i dont think i am crazy about it that way. and i really wasnt happy with it to the side of the stove. I think i am just confusing myself now;)
Okay so here are my crazy suggestions and this might get long so I apologize in advance ;). I don't mind it at the bottom, but I would try to make the name and the stove more of one unit. I might shrink the stove image by 5 or 10 percent then make the space between the stove's shadow and the top of the name the same as the leading between the name and her title. I would also try making the name and title just a tad bigger so that the edges of the names lined up with the edges of the stove legs. And last little nit picky thing is that I would probably flip the stove so that the pot was on the left - this way as your writing left to right if you wanted to fill the whole area you wouldn't end up with an odd negative space. If you didn't want to flip the image you could also try moving the whole thing to the right corner. Hope that helps!
Thanks Dawn, how about this (Before I add another version;)
I like it! What do you think? Always go with your gut :)
yep..that's the fine college education hard at work..thanks Carol!
Ha, ha!! Hey, you going to make a journal out of this one? I keep food journals in business!!
I like it! I could see this as all sorts of things....journal, recipe cards, business cards. This is a keeper!
I love your illustration so much! Without the hood the name kind of feels like it's awkwardly floating to me (I do like it without the hood though). I'm wondering if maybe putting the name to the side or underneath it would help?
Super cute stove! I love the monogrammed towel, but wonder if the monogram would be more noticeable without the pattern on the towel? I agree with Carol that you should do a matching journal, if you haven't already. And I agree with Dawn on the name placement. Good luck!!!
I think it's perfectly cooked now!
Wait, no-you're still misspelled! Missing an r!
thank you guys! Carol that towel was bothering me too.. and cute idea to add an initial! I raised it up off the edge and I didnt think I would like it since it might take up too much newly freed space, but I think it might work.. any thoughts? thanks again!!
Love the towel! Maybe simpler j and lose the window hash marks? Sorry to be picky, this is so awesome!!
Oh, I think it's 'extraordinaire'
I am going against all building codes and removed the hood;) what do you think? i also added the kitche towel for an accent.
First time I saw this with the hood, I thought it was cute. Now that I see it without, I love it. So much more space. I'd personally play with moving the entire stove up off the edge see what happens just for the sake of curiosity. It seems to lead me right off the design now without the hood.
Rebecca, burn the mother down!!! I did love that hood illustration, but this opens things up so much. I love it!! Hey, humor me one more time...would it be overkill to add a 'J' to the towel and to have it hang down just a titch more than the oven window or be above the line - wish the lines didn't hit each other, know what I mean? Love this!!
I like anything kitchen themed. Cute idea.
I think this is awesome! I might ditch the hood to give the stove all the glory! And more room to write!!
i agree with carol on ditching the hood, love the stove!
This is super cute, and I agree that you might not need the hood. The pot is so cute!
LOVE this. Your illustration is darling :) I like the hood, but I can see why someone would say to remove it.
