comments from the designer:

There is a superhero in all of us especially adorable little boys. Inspired by my own little hero, the mask concept was created to give a fresh spin to such a birthday celebration event. A cut out mask showcasing a little bit of modern with just the right twist of artsy flair this design is sure to excite even the pickiest of hero.

Hey Shira!!! You are so welcome - anytime! WOW!!! This looks so cool. I LOVE the yellow banner at the bottom, and the change to all sans-serif type really brings it all together. Love seeing all of the stages this went through!!

This is so cool Shira! I love the complimentary type. In a good/funny way this sort of reminds me of Nacho Libre. It would be awesome if there were a pink version for superhero girls too ;)

This has made an awesome evolution! The cut out mask is such a great idea, it added another element of fun. I know my son would LOVE it. Great Job!

Hey, Shira, what if all the type went to hand-drawn sans like the comic strip sample Hello Hailey posted below, and you made the B in Brooks a drop cap like they did too? To me, and this just may be ME, but I feel like the white box is SO out of place underneath the mask, like it’s vying for attention. I almost want to see this in a vertical iteration now and do everything in the comic book style: black border around the perimeter and around the type box, the background newsprint color and just the mask in color...

Shira, I LOVE the way you've listened to people's feedback and worked on you design. This is looking so much better. Type is looking a little tight, so you may want to increase the leading just a touch. I do agree with Carol, there are a few elements fighting for attention but at the moment I'm not quite sure what to suggest. I really want you to win this so I can order it for myself... I don't have kids so this would be for me!

Love love love! Your mask is totally rocking it!! So glad you were able to bring back something you second guessed - I think it totally makes it! The text on the bottom doesn't quite feel like it fits now - My Playground's idea about researching comic strips is genius: what if the text followed just like a superhero comic... the same sort of vernacular? I think something like that would put this over the top!! I found an old comic strip that might give you some ideas...

What a cool idea! Love the cutout mask! It would be cool if all the kids wore their mask to the party. I agree with Smeeta + Hailey on the text! The comic strip idea is awesome! :)

Great idea! Love the Creative Block font and the stars/texture in the background. What if you added trim lines around the mask - so that kids could cut it out and use it at the part? That could be fun!!

Hailey...Thanks so much for the suggestion. Great idea... I actually had that concept on the initial sketch but second guessed it. I'm so excited you brought it back to the table.

Like the concept very much! And Hailey's idea, too! Would like to see the Brooks line a little heavier or bigger -maybe take the mask down just a bit. The copy top and bottom feel a little tight in the space. Overall, very cute!

You've come up with a great concept Shira. I really do like the suggestion Hailey made. This would be perfect! I think persoanlly I would have more detail(such as stars/stripes/lightning bolts etc) on the mask itself rather than the background especially if you do decide to do a cut out version. Or you could go the other way where have a plain mask and and put in a disclaimer at the bottom for people to decorate their own mask? I also agree with Carol in terms of the name and age part of your type. It needs to be a little more prominent. Maybe research a few comic strips and you may get a better idea. Sorry for the babbling!!

I was thinking the same a Hello Hailay. Add trim lines and a little scissor and little holes on the sides. Would be so great! :)
