Carol!!! This is a striking design, The balance of space and modern simplicity is what makes this a standout! The color is a super hot choice for now too. Simply lovely.
LOVE this! beautiful color!
Simple, with clean lines....love it!
I like it! I'm not opposed to the plus sign, if you choose to use it (I've used it!), it was just the circle that was getting me! :-)
I usually do use the plus sign - I used it on the first round, but it felt lonely up there when I made it larger. Should I go back? I updated all my other designs today if you have time, please check them out! Really appreciate the feedback!
Yay! Looks great. Yes I was going mention the same thing as what Kim said about the + sign and cirlcle, but I can understand it looking lonely without it. I think the AND is working well here. I should point out something I just noticed... you may not need PM in 6PM since you have mentioned IN THE EVENING. Maybe 6 O'CLOCK IN THE... or just 6 IN THE... instead? Also, Because your central focus is on type, I would also recommend to remove the punctuation at the end of the sentences as it's not looking crisp enough. I was initially going to ask you to use the Hanging Punctuation option in Indesign, but realised that you don't really need punctuation. I could be wrong though.. not 100% sure. Did I mention I love that colour!? Really love the overall feel to this. Well done!
Thanks for the help and support, Ladies! PLEASE feel free to take a look at any of my other designs. I really appreciate you taking the time to offer suggestions. BTW, I made the edits and also moved the last two lines around so Cocktails wasn't on a line by itself. That was bugging me!
Thanks for the push, My Playground! I think this looks much better now. What do you think?
Hey, Carol this caught my eye. I like this idea, but agree with My Playground to enlarge the photo and name boxes - maybe twice as large as now? I actually preferred the white background from your first version. And, this may be crazy, but when I see a plus sign in a circle I think "pregnant" - would you be willing to lose the circle? Love the square format and all the "white" space!
Hi K, I am laughing over the "pregnant" - never would have thought of that at all! I did enlarge the photo and type 20% last time around, but I enlarged it again another 20%. This is pushing me out of my tiny type and photo comfort zone, so let me know if you like it better. I really did want the white space to be the star, so here it is again with white background. Again, thanks for your comments! It's so hard to get people to say anything. You automatically think your designs are not up to par...
Comments are always welcome!
I do like the simplicity of this.. but would like to see the top part a little bigger? That colour is gorgeous!
