Oh man. Beautifully simple. Very nice how the banner breaks the border and takes your eye straight to the baby. Super composition and adorable.
This is adorable!!!!!!! Great idea for a boy announcement - those are so hard to find! NICE JOB!
VERY nice! I love how the banner overlaps onto the photo.
This is adorable! The colors are subtle, yet let your eye be drawn to the baby. Great work!
Love this! The colors are subtle, yet the balloon and banner really draw your eye to the baby. Great work!
I don't know if I left a comment on this one or not, but I LOVE it! The subtle waves in the background and the banner tying it all together. Love it!
Thank you for the suggestions! I think the solid banner works well. I also changed the name to a darker color -- better or worse?
This is great, Holly (I was just about to comment when I got the email notification about your forum post). I really like the banner and color tweaks. I might fiddle around with the details text and maybe consider a sky blue background? Just a thought.
This is darling! I like the name darker. Looks great.
love the colors and banner!
What do you think about reducing the size of the balloon by about 30-40% so the baby stays the focus?
also should there be parents indicated in the copy?
very cute! I do like the names better dark. I agree that maybe the balloon could be a little smaller and that you should add the parents' names.
very fresh and fun! I would love to see the banner have a closer relation to the balloon.
Very cute, but maybe I am biased since I adore hot air balloon illustrations. ;)
Maybe use actual numbers instead of typing the words out and keep the text under the name the same size. I would love to see an antiquey baby blue as the background color...something that would compliment the green and yellow you are already using.
How about trying the balloon and banner elements smaller? It feels like everything (the type, the illustrations etc.) are all the same size. Think contrast!
adorable -- and a perfect palette!
Comments and suggestions for improvement are welcome, especially regarding colors! Thanks :)
I like the colors and the balloon is really cute. The gradient of the banner is throwing me off a bit, maybe try it in a solid?
I love the balloon and the reference to arriving. I agree with the ribbon. Maybe try it as a solid in the color of the copy at the bottom. Love it though!
So Cute! I also agree that the ribbon should be one color :)
