About the Design

comments from the designer:

I've always loved pre-15th century art that depicts saints with disc-like haloes, so I wanted to modernize that and combine vintage and new.

Beautiful! I love how you mixed the modern and traditional elements! Maybe you could pick up her robe color in the text somehow? Just a thought...still a fab design.

Stunning. Art from this period was truly amazing. It makes me so happy to see someone appreciate it and fuse it with modern design. English renaissance literature was also heavily influenced by religion. You might find some really good inspiration (http://shakespeareauthorship.com/xmas/) from work written during this time period if you wanted to get even deeper, historically speaking, through the text in your design. But . . . the people who would really care about this kind of thing could easily be limited to myself and handful of other people :) Either way, thanks for exercising my brain!
