Our urban paper mill produces cotton sheets of paper by hand with remnants from the garment industry. Our paper is 100% recycled and acid free. Our paper has a distinctive deckle edge. It is perfectly suitable for letterpress printing. We use raised type and images in antique presses to make an elegant impression on the surface of each hand-fed sheet.

Your sources of design inspiration:
Our source of inspiration includes several trips to France to visit ancient paper mills to observe their traditions and techniques as well as the old-world craftsmanship represented by figures such as Eric Gill and his Golden Cockerel Press in Wales or Elbert Hubbart's Roycroft Guild in New York or Dard Hunter and his exotic travels to research international techniques of hand papermaking.

What is one thing that no one knows about you?:
We recently completed an ensemble of business stationery for our favorite ex-vice president, Al Gore. Of course the paper and envelopes were all 100% recycled and printed with soy inks.
