Laura Hankins wins big

Hawaii-based designer Laura Hankins has been racking up design challenge wins in recent months, and as of today, she has one more huge prize to add to her awards case.

Thanks to three designs that were voted into the top 20 of the recent Happily Ever After Wedding Challenge with Wedding Channel.com, Laura has won the coveted “collection” prize — her own wedding line  on Minted. She will receive a $600 cash award for her three winning designs, plus an additional commission of $800 for 4 more wedding suites. Congratulations Laura!!

Minted’s Editorial team will select two other designers to receive this prize and will announce these winners soon. You’ll be able to check out the fruits of their design labor this Winter, when we launch our 2011 wedding collection, featuring the winning designs from this challenge. The collection will also include brand new designs from Stacey Day, Karly of Oscar + Emma, Annie Clark, and Andrea of Float Paperie, the four collection winners from the Breakout Wedding Challenge last spring.
